Dr. Thornberry started running in 7th grade and experienced many seasons riddled with injury as she struggled to fit into the "run more miles" paradigm with little to no attention paid to other aspects of developing as a runner (hey, you live and you learn!). Over the years she has learned that there are more than one road to success.
From the perspective of both a clinician and a coach Dr. Thornberry offers a training method that builds in proper recovery, prehab routines and with a "quality over quantity" approach. Runners are people and people are different in their training needs and she hopes to provide a different option so that it doesn't take you years to discover your potential because of constantly battling injury. A training plan prescribed to a team of 50+ people may not work for each individual, especially those who are injury-prone, doing multiple sports, or coming off of a season-ending injury. For these athletes, piling on the mileage is not the best and only way to get fit.

- An Initial Fitness Assessment
- Via an athlete profile and questionnaire, I'll learn about your current fitness, athletic history, and past running experience. I'll ask you what workouts you love, which ones you dread and if any injuries have recently plagued you. This assessment helps me design a plan specifically for YOU and YOUR needs as an athlete.
- An Individualized Training Plan
- Every 1-2 weeks, I'll send you a personalized training schedule built just for you. Because things can come up - work craziness, illness, unexpected events - we might need to make adjustments. No two plans look alike - your individualized plan is designed to fit your lifestyle and help you reach your goals.
- Personal Coaching & Goal-Setting
- I provide regular and timely comments on your workouts to give you the feedback you need.
- Unlimited access to me via email/text communication - I’ll try to respond within 24 hours
- 1x/month 30 minute one-on-one phone consultations
- Strength and Nutrition Guidance
- Running-specific strength and core exercise programs to help you be a stronger, more durable runner and prevent injuries
